About

I’m Catherina, a software engineer, speaker, and two-time bestselling children’s author.

My career in tech has taken me through software programming, customer success, and product analysis, so I understand both how things are built and how they feel to the people using them. I’ve kept learning along the way, completing Kellogg’s year-long leadership program, Stanford University’s Code in Place, and the Python track of the Google Tech Collective. I’m a proud graduate of Southern University A&M in Baton Rouge.

I’m also an author. My children’s books, What’s Cooking Tonight? and What Can I Grow Up to Be?, both became bestsellers, and publishing them taught me how much work goes into getting a story from manuscript to reader.

That’s why I built GriotBoard. In West African tradition, a griot is a keeper of stories. GriotBoard is a publishing platform made by an author who writes code, so indie authors can spend less time on logistics and more time telling their stories.

When I’m not building or writing, you’ll find me around flowers or looking up at the stars.
